Parent of the Year? SG Dad Fined S$5,000 After Letting Sons Ride On Top of His Porsche for TikTok

Kakis, come grab your popcorn. If you thought you’ve seen every kind of pattern-more-than-badminton behavior on Singapore roads, hold your steering wheel tight. We have a new candidate for the “How NOT to Father” hall of fame!

Got this 40-year-old Singaporean man, Prem Anan Sugunakumar, who decided that normal family outings were just too boring. His genius idea for an “enjoyable experience” for his two young sons (aged 7 and 8)?

Letting them sit outside on top of his Porsche’s boot while he drove.

Yes, you read that right. Not in the car, not buckled up in child seats, but balance-sitting on the rear boot facing backwards, completely exposed to the open road! (watch the video below)

The TikTok “Flex” Gone Terribly Wrong

The incident went down in the tranquil green enclave of Dairy Farm. While Dad was channeling his inner circus stunt coordinator behind the wheel of his luxury sports car, Mum wasn’t stopping him. Instead, she was right there in the front passenger seat, pulling out her phone to record the whole spectacle down—presumably to flex on TikTok!

Because nothing says “great parenting” quite like turning your primary-school-aged kids into aerodynamic external accessories for social media clout, right? 🤦‍♂️

Unsurprisingly, another driver passing by saw this absolute madness unfold and couldn’t believe their eyes. Knowing that a sudden brake or sharp turn could easily turn this “enjoyable experience” into a tragedy, they immediately called the police.

A History of Bad Driving (And a Heavy Penalty)

As if the stunt itself wasn’t bad enough, the court proceedings revealed an even bigger shocker. The prosecution pointed out that this Porsche driver already had over 15 traffic violations under his belt prior to this incident! Talk about a track record.

The judge was definitely not amused by this high-stakes family joyride. In the end, the court slapped him with:

  • The maximum fine of S$5,000 for committing a rash act endangering human life.
  • A 6-month driving ban to think about what he did.

Look, we get it—owning a nice car feels good, and creating memories with your kids is important. But please don’t use your own children’s lives as props for views and likes!

Now, his wallet is bleeding, his license is gone, and he has officially secured his spot as Singapore’s national facepalm of the month.

Stay safe on the roads, guys. Keep your kids buckled inside the car, and leave the stunts to Hollywood! 🚗💨
